RBV Longhorn Foundation
"Improving campus life since 1995"
The Rancho Buena Vista Longhorn Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization based in Vista, California. The Foundation was formed by volunteers and parents who wanted to take an active role in the development and continuous improvement of Rancho Buena Vista High School by working cooperatively with students, parents and the school administration by coordinating fundraisers with ahtletic groups and pursuing educational, technology and other grants.
The Foundation continues to be staffed by school alumni, parents and community supporters and is led by a Board of Directors, elected annually in May at the regularly scheduled board meeting. The Foundation currently partners with more than a dozen different athletic programs and both the School Principal and Athletic Director as ex-oficio members of the board.
The Foundation initially formed in 1995 with a focused goal of constructing a football stadium on the RBVHS campus. During the past 14 years, the Foundation accomplished that goal, raising more than $2 million to build the stadium, track, and associated snack bars and other amenities.
Moving forward once again, the Foundation has set new short and long term goals of continuing facility improvements while actively seeking classroom and technology grants to offset current state eduction budget shortfalls.
We welcome your attendance and participation at our monthly meeting held the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the RBVHS campus career center at 6:30 pm.
